Chris Brasel serves as the Director of the Veteran Services Office at UNC Charlotte. He is a graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Prior to attending UNC Charlotte, Chris served for five years in the United States Navy stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and Naval Hospital Portsmouth, VA. Upon graduating from UNC Charlotte, Chris started employment within the Veteran Services Office moving from Administrative Assistant to Lead Certifying Official responsible for administering Veteran Affairs educational benefits. As Director, Chris is passionate about advocating for military-affiliated student needs, and creating a supportive and inclusive environment that facilitates academic and personal success for his students.
